Feeding Instructions

Benefits of Mineral Supplementation

  • Calcium - Essential for milk production, bone structure, and muscle contractions.

Feeding Instructions

TerraSentia Mineral is formulated to be fed free choice or mixed into a daily ration at the rate of 3 oz per head per day for mature cattle.  Do not feed additional salt or minerals.  If consumption of TerraSentia Mineral is below 3 oz. per head per day, contact your dealer for methods to improve consumption.  Always supply adequate fresh water and feed.

Pastures containing frothy bloat causing legumes – TerraSentia Mineral should be fed at least ten days prior to grazing pastures containing bloat producing legumes.  Consumption of TerraSentia Mineral should be monitored to assure the rate of 3 oz. per head per day.  Very poor results will be obtained at consumption rates below 3 oz.  Mineral feeders should be distributed throughout the pastures at the rate of one feeder per every five acres.  No other source of salt or mineral should be provided.. Feeders should be checked and restocked on a daily basis.  When fed in accordance with these feeding instructions, this mineral may aid to help reduce losses in pastures containing bloat producing legumes.  These instructions are not to be considered to be a warranty, expressed or implied that this supplement will eliminate all losses due to frothy bloat.

Pastures containing larkspur – TerraSentia Mineral should be fed at least ten days prior to grazing pastures containing larkspur. 
Consumption of TerraSentia Mineral should be monitored to assure the rate of 3 oz. per head per day.  Very poor results will be obtained at consumption rates below 3 oz.  Mineral feeders should be distributed throughout the pastures, particulaily in areas of high larkspur concentrations. No other source of salt or mineral should be provided. Feeders should be checked and restocked on a daily basis. When fed in accordance with these feeding instructions, this mineral may aid to help reduce losses in pastures containing larkspur.  These instructions are not to be considered
to be a warranty, expressed or implied, that this supplement will eliminate all loses due to larkspur poisoning.
